Next step
This initiative is designed as a "Train the Trainer" (ToT) capacity engagement program targeting Graduates or Youth-Organizations (such as members of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) in Nigeria). By equipping them with advanced digital awareness and internet ethics, we aim to create a ripple effect that extends digital literacy to both urban and rural citizens across Africa, aligning with the national vision of "a Digital Africa for all."
Program Objectives
The primary goal of this pilot phase is to establish a scalable model for national digital domestication. Key objectives include:
Capacity Building: Training such members to become digital ambassadors within their host communities.
Digital Ethics: Promoting the "Internet for Good" philosophy to curb cyber-malpractice and encourage productive online engagement.
Bridging the Divide: Providing insights into how digital tools can benefit rural farmers, small-scale urban traders, and students alike.
National Integration: Setting the foundation for agencies across African Countries (such as NITDA for Nigeria) to domesticate this framework across all regions.
Key Learning Modules
Participants will gain insights into the following critical areas:
The Internet as a Tool for Development: Moving beyond social media to e-commerce, remote work, and digital advocacy.
Digital Inclusivity: Strategies for teaching digital skills to non-literate or rural populations.
The "Internet for Good" Campaign: Promoting online safety, verification of information, and professional branding.
By Partnering with us, it represents a proactive step toward closing the digital gap in Africa. By leveraging the energy and reach of selected members, we are not just teaching a class; we are building a sustainable movement. This project will set the ball in motion for a digital revolution that leaves no African behind.
